CHURCH CONFERENCE – 2007

 

                 “We are here to WORSHIP God, SHARE Jesus Christ, SERVE others, and EQUIP believers for ministry and mission.”

 

                 That is Trinity’s mission statement.  Tonight I want to try to impress you with how Trinity is fulfilling its mission. 

 

                 Did you know that we recently celebrated our fifth anniversary of our coffeehouse Heaven @ 7?  We have had dozens of individuals or groups share their talent and their testimony.  Although many of our Sunday morning worshippers have never attended, we have many faithful workers and attendees; with most of the attendees coming from outside our church.  They come for the spirit filled fellowship.  I’m greeted frequently at the mall by a certain couple who always asks me who’s coming to share the next time and then say, “we’ll be there.”

 

                 Did you know that our Angel Food Ministry provides food monthly for an average of 100 families for $25 a unit?  Most of these families are outside of our church and have many stories to tell of how this food was essential to their livelihood and their budget.  We’re able to take food stamps and some families purchase one $25 unit and also are able to purchase some of the specials which usually consist of meats. 

 

                 Did you know that one of our newer ministries, Celebrate Recovery, meets every Saturday at noon?  This ministry may be small in number but is large in service.  The leaders have been training for quite a while and have been working with other churches, especially Rock Bridge.  The ministry will assist any person who has a need to overcome hurts, habits, and hang ups.  There will be understanding and support in an accepting atmosphere.

 

                 Did you know that the children in our Pioneer program recently sold baked goods to raise money for the Heifer program?  The money will provide families somewhere in the
