Working with youth is very close to my heart; I have been working with children and youth for most of my adult life.  Growing up in a Christian home and coming to know Christ at a young age, some of the most influential years of my life were the years I spent in a youth group.  It is my desire to show youth how they can live a life of faith and to choose to live the life that God has for them.

In 2005, I met and married my wonderful husband Johnny who also shares the joy and desire of working with youth.  We have a fish named Striker and a cat named Rigby.  That’s about all we can handle for now!

I am so excited to see God work in the lives of the youth at Trinity!

Rev. David Blackwood—Senior Pastor

David met his wife Jessica through the Wesley Foundation of Georgia College and State University, both receiving degrees in History; additionally, David majored in Spanish and minored in Latin American Studies.  They will be celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary in August.  They have two children Samuel, 3, and Emma, 22 months.  They are expecting another girl due at the end of August.  David and Jessica have both served in ministry in different ways working as youth ministers at various churches, in prayer ministries, and have done mission work in 6 countries.  David recently graduated with a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.  Since he will be close to the mountains David hopes to take up whitewater kayaking this summer.  David is passionate about ministry and enjoys worshipping with the body of Christ.
